Members of the British Society of Criminology can access a network of useful specialist groups. The BSC aims to further the interests and knowledge of both academic and professional people who are engaged in any aspect of work or teaching, research or public education about crime, criminal behaviour and the criminal justice systems in the United Kingdom. The Society has been in existence for nearly 60 years and has a wide-ranging membership based here and overseas. As a criminology student you are eligible to join the British Society of Criminology – undergraduate student membership is currently just £30 and once you’ve graduated it is £50 – the BSC is a valuable network of criminology academics, students, researchers and professionals. You might want to consider attending their annual conference or even submit a paper! You can also browse through their jobs page which has mostly academic posts in criminology and also funded PhD opportunities for those considering going on to further study.
